The Kingdom Within
Luke 17:21
There is a world beyond our world.
A time beyond our time
It is a place of peace and rest.
You do not have to travel far.
For all who come, the door will open.
For it is the kingdom within
The kingdom within is a well spring of goodness and light.
A word, a song, a prayer, that whispers through the darkest of nights
The beauty of creation speaks of God’s design.
It shouts from mountain tops.
To every creature and all of mankind
The doorway into this kingdom
Might seem hard to find in a world of unbelief
Still our Lord calls out for us to come
to find peace and relief
Come to the kingdom within, that lives in your heart.
No matter the trial or how dark the night
It is only a prayer away,
You can stay and never need to depart
Our life on earth is only for a moment.
The time will come when we shall fly
Into our loving Savior’s arms
Forever free from pain and strife.
The world and its glory will fade and dim.
Until that time there is a place
Where can we go
It is the kingdom within
Come to the kingdom within, that lives in your heart.
